Curriculum & Teaching

In order to provide a better language environment, the school offers bilingual classes. Meanwhile, as to enrich students’ learning environment, the school also includes some distinctive rooms or corners, such as the multi-purpose playroom, music room, rock-climbing wall, performance area, creative art gallery and reading corner. It supports children to explore and widen their learning experience in different space. Through multiple teaching strategies and diverse activities, we scaffold children to self-learning through “observe, experience, associate, operate and use.

Bilingual & Triliterate

The Education Bureau strives to enhance the development of students’ “bilingual and triliterate” ability. All 18 of our kindergartens aim at laying a solid foundation of “bilingual and triliterate”, i.e. students learning Chinese, English and Putonghua. Aside from arranging native-speaking English teachers to conduct activities in English, we have also arranged native-speaking Putonghua teachers to conduct activities in Putonghua. Learning in entirely English or Putonghua environment could cultivate students’ interest in bilingual and triliterate. Besides, through different learning scenarios, such as language activities, read-aloud of stories, group discussions, etc., students’ language competency in listening, speaking, reading and writing could be enhanced.

Picture Books Learning

“Picture Books Learning” can consolidate student’ various learning experiences and facilitate life education and parents-teacher cooperative open-learning. With a school-based and classroom-based strategy, courses catering to the student’s individual need could be developed to create exploratory scenarios for “constructive learning”, and putting the developmental approach of whole-person education into practice through “Discovery Learning” and “Learning by Doing”.
